Thread: What's this I hear about entertainer quests?
I'm one of very few Tempest entertainers who post on the boards, which makes me believe I'm one of very few who reads them. Last night in my group in the cantina I asked if anyone had done the quests, and no one knew what I was talking about. I told a couple of people who were curious about them, but then after I logged I decided I'm not going to do that anymore. Yeah, I'll probably have fewer musicians to play Western with, but I'm not going to do SOE's job for them. If they don't want us to find the new content, then that's fine, they won't, cause I guarantee you at least 80% of the entertainer population I run into would never go exploring the theater to see what was going on there.
On the other hand, not putting these quests in the patch notes is at least a rung lower than the normal behavior for such things. Just another slap in the face for those of us who know anything about it (the common non-forum reading entertainer will go on living clueless and won't feel the knife in his back).
Clearly its obvious what the current reason for the worse then normal communication is tho. *looks around for any SOE employees* /whisper J...T...L
Which i can understand as im really eager for it to go live as well, but come on SOE, leave a FEW people to talk to the rest of the game community. Lets hope that once JTL goes live and the primary initial bugs get squashed that SOE will turn their eyes back towards the main game again. *fingers crossed* 8)

I usually cut the devs much slack, but i must agree with those that feel this was handled poorly. It was an abysmal example of how bad communication can be with SOE's dev team. My heart goes out to the correspondants, you guys must have near tibetan monk zen-ness to go thru all this without exploding sometimes.

Yeah, three cheers for our Correspondents! I lost my cool, but they never lost theirs. Kudos to them, I'd sent them each a Cookie-gram if I knew where to send it to.
Panthu and NewJedi, you guys are #1. Wait, how can you both be number 1...well you guys have to duke it out over who's number 1 and who's number 2.

Granted, that's a general problem with the game.

That's nice, dear. Now git in the Cantina and make me a sammich...an' git me a beer!(This is a test of the emergency sardonicism broadcast system. This is only a test. If I'd actually harboured any ill will towards Scip, there'd be no doubt in anyone's mind.)
Thanks, you made my day. I think ya'll know I don't tend to get so down and bitter (or at least not post in such a tone) very often. This stuff finally got to me, as you can see in my previous posts from today, but you just made it much better!
And here's your beer, and a PB&J sammich!
Okay bunny I GOT ask bud... whats up with yer ultra-sensitivity on similar posts in different forums? Some people are very selective about which forums they frequent. I got no issues with Warryyr posted wherever he likes. Especially when dealing with new quests that are for Dancers "and" Musicians. Being as they both are "entertainers" it makes perfect sense that you'de want to cover all 3 forums.
Nobody forces anyone to read someone else's post. At least i dont THINK so anyways... *Skuzz looks around suspiciously*
A) We're not "buds"
B) My specific beef with Warryyr is seeing the same points over and overwith several posts inseveral threads every day he posts. It serves no other purpose than to turn a meaningful argument into white noise. Righteous indignation only goes so far, after that its pointless.
C) My specific beef with youwas that crossposting the same question is, its pointless and boring. Found it immensely funny that when I answered your question in Entertainer, you 5 starred me, and 1 starred me in Musician for pointing out you were repeating yourself.
