Thread: Merchants with Nothing to sell
OK so today I went around and was looking for a helm.
I saw there were four different armor venders in my vicinity at the time so I thought, what the heck let's go around and see if I can afford a new composite helm.
I ended up visiting all four armor venders and none of them had anything to sell. What is worse is that many of these had venders for weapons, resources and other things and none of these venders had anything to sell either.
While I was looking I decided to check a couple of other venders in the same area, and a lot of them were empty.
How do you all expect to make any money with nothing on your venders? And worse, why are you cluttering up the planetary maps with venders that have nothing on them.
I wonder how hard it would be to have the planetary list display venders with the most items on them at the top, to kind of save us a little time running around from vender to vender, what do you all think?
Part of the problem is that weaponsmiths and tailors can color their wares and it's difficult to keep a good stock of complete sets. I've found it better to contact an armorer and commission a set to be made of the type and color I want.
Another major reason is that its been a hoiday. You have Christmas and New year when people take some time off and visit relatives and dear friends.. So i would give all merchants a break.. they need some time off too
.
I would advice to check after stuff later on when people start playing regulary again and have time to refill their vendors.
Have fun! And happy holiday!
I finally finished Bus3 last night after a couple hours, and put up my first vendor. Now I can't figure out how to STOCK the *EDIT* thing! I spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out, and another ten trying to find instructions in any of the manuals and online. Asking for help only got me an "oh yeah, it's easy, you just have to get used to it..." I explained that I had initialized it, but the Add Item button or whatever it is supposed to say never appears. I tried to "Use" it and was told that it hadn't been initialized yetand he responded, "well, uh,maybe you have to wait a while before you can stock it". It had already been "initialized" for ahalf an hour at that point, so I went hunting... I'll try again tonight, if that doesn't work the only thing I can think of is to contact a CSR and/or create a ticket.
I've got stuff to put on it, just no way to do it... ![]()
Patience padwan, all those empty vendors you're seeing may all just be new, and people like me are trying to figure out how they work
Ahnuld,
The top of this page has kind of a work around for Terminal Vendors. Some times it works sometimes it doesn't. You might be right with the fact that they cannot Initialize the vendor, but I think it is more of people away from their computers for a week and being sold out of a couple of days.
You're right, it s probably a lack of play time. My thinking is that it was more of people being told to Master some form of artisan, so more vendors were popping up than normal.
I'm studying these pages a lot harder now believe me.
