Thread: Two vendors, one inventory?!

1) Create terminal vendor ("Foo's Widgets"). (Work around the initialization bug)
2) Sell widgets for a few days. There are 10 widgets left.
3) Get Novice Merchant
4) Create NPC vendor ("Foo's Nonwidgets")
5)Stock NPC vendor with two Nonwidgets

Result:
Both vendors have a shared inventory.
That is, "Foo's Widgets" and "Foo's Nonwidgets" are selling the same stuff. 10 widgets and 2 nonwidgets on both vendors

My first thought was that the names were the factor, or perhaps the house.

So I took everything out of both vendors -- a very good thing because destroying either vendor wipes out all items on both -- and wiped out both vendors and the house.

I tried again with a brand-new house (Also a Small Naboo Round / Style 2 / 1 lot) and two brand-new vendors. (One terminal - this time a Standard Terminal instead of a Bulky Terminal, one NPC). Instead of calling them "Foo's Widgets" and "Foo's Nonwidgets", I called them "Widgets by Foo" and "Nonwidgets by Foo".

And got the same bug.

That's where I left it last night. Haven't tried waiting for a server reset.

What's going on, and is there any way of stopping it? (I can't be the first person to see this bug. And it can't be the case that you're only allowed one vendor per house.)

This may be an easy solution.

hit the use vendor button on the radial. in the upper left hand corner you will see: galaxy, planet, local area (or something like that) and vendor. It is opened as default to the region, rather than the vendor. If you click on vendor, you will only see what is for sale on that vendor.

hope that helps

I knew it was something silly like that. No way that a bug like that could have remained in-game without there being an FAQ. Thanks.

If I recall correctly, when I deleted the vendor and concluded that "all items are deleted off both vendors", the vendor that got deleted was the only vendor that had stock in it. (Sensing risk, I unstocked all items from one vendor, and had only one item in the second vendor. The second vendor was the one that got deleted. So of course - it's only natural that "View in Region" no longer showed the item on the nonexistent second vendor when I clicked on the first vendor, leading me to conclude erroneously that deleting either vendor wiped out both vendors' contents.)

It's in the guide.

Why do I see the items from my other vendor? A: You are looking at the Region view on your vendor. The merchant has a unique view, where we can see Univers, Region, or the specific vendor. Customers can only see what is on that specific vendor.
