Not very long ago I decided to venture forth and explore the path to my FSCS.

This was a well thought out decision as I would have to give up the Bounty Hunter profession completely and I so do enjoy it.

So I opened the little blue box and low and behold I am to become a Merchant, well not just a Merchant a Master Merchant.

I must say there is a wealth of information in this forum, it is concise and well thought out and I am not jsut talking about the Merchant or Holomerchant guides. This is a profession that many care about and are trying to advance to something better. I take my hat off to you all.

Click -> Unlearn BH Skill X, Short grind under business (Artisian) and "...Money up front...", Click Novice Merchant.

I am not going to go into the I did it this way, I get such and such XP. Lets just say that I followed the guide in this forum to the letter and it has been made the journey an easy one. That and dedicated help from good friends.

This post is about something else, what I found along the way. I am enjoying the path to Master Merchant.

I loved tracking down my marks, now I am tracking down new merchant tent locations. I monitor the bazaar for good buys on items I can mark up or sell for break even in locations that I know move such an item quickly. I am working with Artisians and Tradesman, giving them a place to sell their goods.

... and I am having fun at it ...

Soon I will be leaving this all behind for another profession, I would not have given up being a Bounty Hunter if I was not determined to see this through. But I will stay a merchant as long as I can contribute to the profession.

My hat goes off to the true merchants that keep the economy flowing and in balance. You can count on my continued support and will help any way that I can.

To those rushing though the profession in 21.x Days or less, Take a moment to understand more than the math to get to Master. The 21600 XP you get per day from 6 Merchants, 50 XP per browse, 50 XP per access fee is nothing more than rote participation. Take the extra time and leave something good behind.
