But, Merchants, believe it or not control the economy of this game. Before you flame or disagree hear me out.
Take the PVP decay for instance. That hurt game play and is in question of being removed.
Let say 50% to 75 % just close up shop. Because of Vendor limitation and Bazaar increase.
This would cause Mass inflation of Items pricing.
Now The larger part of the population Wear Armor, Clothes, and use weapons. These merchants alone can pretty much bring the game to a hault.
Decay keeps you in business so it may take some time but people will start to want new Armor, Clothes and Weapons. But since you guys have been shafted and decided to go on strike there is no where to buy it. The population at large starts complaining and the Merchants will recieve pretty much immediate attention.
Think of it as a strike.
Even though your shop isnt open you could still craft the supplies but not sell them. While your business is shut down you could run some missions with friends make a little cash. I do realize most merchants have near nothing to combat skills but I would support you guys on this.
Prolly would never happen but In all honesty you guys do control the economy of this game.
But would need at least 50 to 75% participation for this to work.
And it would fix there DB issues for a little bit of time and maybe they would take you guys seriously.
Holo-armoursmiths and holo-weaponsmiths will dump low quality items on the bazaar to make up for the grind cost even selling at a loss. Armour and weapons will always be available, even if it is low quality stuff.
Therefore, merchants are NOT in charge of the economy. We do not even have tools to be able to "ride out the storm" that changes such as the proposed ones will bring.
yeah that is true but the Player Base as a whole would not like the quality of the Armor and would prolly begin to complain.
I know its a far fetched Idea but as a Mass if the quality merchants did this it would bring attention to the devs.
It may make customers mad but as a Merchant they should not be shafted.
I realize it would probably not work but if Intel and AMD suddenly stoped producing Processors it would have a damper on the Market and the Government would prolly step and work towads a solution.
There's no way that enough Merchants would participate to make it actually work.
Besides that, we'd also all have to put up with the "OMG!!! crafters and merchants r sooo greedy! **edit**??! Just make me a gun, nOOb!!!" reactions, both in game and on the boards.
