OK, most of you will say you can't grind merchant. That is mostly true, but there are somethings you can do to speed your way thru, and even make a ton of credits along the way.

I am only 1002, atm, I hit Bus 3 in Artisan 3 days ago. Sales in my shop are now over 1,000,000 credits, profit over 750k. Iam 1/2 way to ad 2 (I think thats pretty quick, real merchants will have to confirm that), I want on the map. I'll master Merchant, but I'm really am in this to make the credits i need to grind armorsmith.

so my tips are geared to those just starting Merchant, before you are on the map. I hate sitting passively waiting for people to find my shop, so iwanted a more active route. I get loads of traffic in the shop now, even without being on the map.

1. You need a hook. I dropped all my loot, sith holo, milk, janta blood and hides, crystals...everything is on the groud in mt shop...instant ..... Museum of Rare Loot! Many people have never seen most of the loot drops, and will come out just to see your loot.

2. Sell real stuff. Resources, Specific ones can get you 5-10 cr/unit. Named resources, such as ones needed for Other popular items sell very well.

3. Spam, as much as I hate hearing others spam near starports, Coronet especially, it is increadibly effective. I stand next to the starport and yell, with a 60 sec break in between each, a string of 5 ads. This has gotten me many tells and Emails asking for the location.

4. Be creative! Don't just say "Shop at xxx, loc xxx xxx" try something like.. "Vistit my Rare loot Museum! Sith Holo and the elusive Milk on display! Please do not drool, cry, or wimper on the Holocron!"

5. Use all the tools you have avalible. I am a CH, so I set my 2 pets to patrol, 1 in the starport, 1 outside. Their Names? 'MuseumOfRareLootEmailTerrie' It works. Non CH's have 1 pet they can do this with.

Ok, thats all I got so far. Hope it helps some of you all. Please, will the other Merchants perhaps drop a few tricks or hints for the other new Merchants?
