I just started merchant (1/0/01). I'm having a hard time deciding which way to go with it. Should I a) Sell my own crafted item (a.k.a. Go up in an advanced crafting class as well as selling Master Artisan items) or b) Getting crafters to supply me and resell. Maybeeven a mix of the two. I personally like the second option because it doesnt require mindless grinding and tons of resources dissapearing into thin air, but at the same time I'm also not sure how to go about roping a crafter into a deal like that. I'd appreciate whatever suggestions you all can give me.

It's kinda difficult at present selling another crafter's items - lots of mindless clicking involved.

You'd be surprised at how much business you can get as a Master Artisan. There's a LOT of good stuff in the Artisan tree.

Its true, people do tend to go through vehicles and harvesters like no tommorow. I would still prefer to load a vendor for an hour than sit there grinding for an hour and THEN loading a vendor for an hour. Anyway, keep the suggestions coming.

If you are going to go Master Artisan, powerups sell very well for me. They use only a small amount of resources each, don't require any special named resources, and don't take very long to make in a factory (compared to other things anyway ).

And you can sellsome of them on the bazaar in busy cities (like Theed and Coronet), until you get a good customer base coming to your store.

Another thing that sells quickly for me is enemy loot. I've got an entire vendor set aside for it. If you happen to have combat skills on top of the merchant and crafting, you can sell the better loot you come across. Janta Blood, Janta skin, crystals, higher than aveage geonosian loot, skill tapes, quest rewards, quest schematics, DOT weapons, etc. You can sell all of that kind of loot for a big profit, no crafting involved.

Psst... invest in a factory.
