Many players (mostly crafter/merchants) I know have already decided to quit if any form of vendor limits hit live. I am feeling that way as well, but have started taking steps to protect myself on the chance this goes live and I decided to stay.
I am one of those who plays this game and has a real Job that makes demand on my time. This coming Fri I have to leave town for a little over a week on business and as a result of not knowing if, when and/or how this change will hit live and dont want to come back home and find most my years work gone because things were done in my absence, soI have started taking steps.
So inorder to protect my last years work I am getting ready to remove most my expensive items from my vendor and put massive sales up on my lower end items to clear up space.
I placed a bunch of structures already to store my most valuable stuff and will be adding at least another 20 structures in the next few days.
I think this is the worst thing to hit the game to date and am completely against the vendor limits. If you want to read my thread on this please go to
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=merchant&message.id=36128
I challange anyone who reads that thread to explainto mewe the players should acceptANY merchant vendor limits, especially the totally unrealistic ones thus far proposed by the Devs.
Yours,

My subscription expires in mid October.
If this change goes live, I will spend the time consolidating my properties and selling off things at outrageous discounts.
I'll then pay a LOT of maintenance on my remaining structures and leave the game.

If for some reason the game improves in my absence, I'll come back and start over.
If not, 6 months will pass and my character will be purged.
Either way, my subscription fees will be diverted to another game that appreciates its customers.

Thanks for making the click/re-direct Barris, I am not wise in the ways of the clicky.

No problem. While I support being able to keep venders with out having merchant itself, I realize the complete stupidity of this nerf for those dedicated to crafting because of this cap.
It not only affects the crafters, it affects the economy and everyone as a whole. I thank you more for helping fight this problem before it hits.

Just as a FYI note, a new sea of factories and homes just sprung up over the weekend on Valcyn...all in nice neat rows.... I can already feel the lag coming.

Ya, hehe, I've removed 1000+ items from my "storage" vendor and placed it into 8 new factories in nice little rows, lol. As for my wares I've cut prices on all my weapons by as much as 80% I dont have a single weapon on my vendor over 8k. Most are 1-2k. The 5-8kones are enhanced e11 carbs, mod rep blasters and the like. This has really killed me with such a short notice. I am by no means a wealthy crafter. My bank account lies in the low 7 digits atm. I've been Master Weaponsmith since January. I could have made a fortune but I prefer to sell at low prices because I enjoy what I do and like to offer my customers great deals.
If I had decided to stay around after the nerf I'd just do a server lot swap for 10 more factories for storage. I don't want to deal with that hassle of running to a factory every time I need another crate of barrels, power handlers, geo solidifying agent, or yellow cubes. It was nice having it all right there bymy crafting station on a Storage vendor. It's just too much like WORK now. Btw, before I'm flamed for having a "storage vendor" I am and have been Master Merchant since some time in march.

Well, concidering that the limit when applied will not delete the items on the vendor but only prevent me to add any new items until I reach the limit,
Nothing, except maybe remove and put back all the items so they stay there for one month.
