Thunderheart,

SOE, the developers, and especially youhave been excellent in recent months about dicussing game issues and having rational discussions about the changes. The deal was supposed to be as follows: You explain why the developers feel the need to change some aspect of the game andgive your arguements for your position. We, the customers, would then be able to have a discussion on how these effects change our gameplay and then we would try to reach a compromise on what an acceptible solution would be.

Two great examples of our past dialog were the pet and vehicle compromise in allowing them to be pulled anywhere in 15 seconds without campsand the dialog that eventually lead to the revamp of the droid engineering profession by adding more modules and functionality both with combat droids.

The vendor item limit nerf is in fact a great example of what happens when our communication breaks down.

The vendor item limits, in particular, troubles me for the following reasons:

1) SOE is always publishing update notes on the forums. Interestingly as big a patch as Publish 10 is, no publish notes ended up on the dev tracker. Usually it seems you can't wait to publish the notes. We even get posts sometimes that the notes are coming. Does this mean you have been trying to hide this? I wouldn't see why because we are going to find out eventually. Please also do not blame this on the dev tracker "missing" it in its searches if indeed they were published. I dont think we buy that anymore.

2) Many players have commented that in fact you plan to raise the cap because you know people will protest. Therefore you will still get your desired result after you agree to be generous and raise the cap level. Ultimately you get your nerf, we get our dialog, and everyone at least can deal with it. I hope this course of action is not planned nor condonedbecause we, the paying customers, will not have much love for SOE if we feel we are constantly being manipulated, thus further undermining our goals of trust between devs and customers.

3) This is a step backwards in dev/customer relations. Numbers 1 and 2 above are great examples of this.

4) This radically affects some of your most dedicated players in the game who workreally hard tomake goods and services available and in stock for community as a whole.

I know there has been some talk of limiting the items on vendors for some time now but instead of coming to us and explaining why the change was needed, this was forced upon us.

So many flaming posts could have been avoided with a simple "In Discussion" post where we could have directed our suggestions and awaited your point/counterpoints. To let this spiral out of control for an entire weekend is unacceptable.

Pleaseinclude us in discussion about this and let's try to come to a rational compromise. We as the paying customers deserve at least that, don't we?
