Hi there,

I am going to drop merchant shortly, but would like to keep some vendors. Will I still be able to use them okay or will I lose the abilities to use them?

This was fixed. If you drop your vendor skills, you will no longer be able to add items to your vendor. If they go to your stock room you can retrieve them but not restock them. I do not know if Offers can be retrieved or not.

Why is it that still so many people want to exploit this?

It was the most widely used exploit before they fixed it so you couldn't keep them.
