Ok so I just got an email that my item has expired because I failed to pick it up in time, what does this mean? I hope to god it isnt destroyed, because it is like 30 million credits worth of resources inside of it...

If you got the email and it isn't on the vendor, it's most likely gone forever.
It will only sit in the stockroom for 30ish days once it drops off sale.
After the stockroom timer has expired, the item goes poof.
I'm convinced, however, that I get these emails when customers forget to come back and pick their stuff up.
I've had empty stockrooms galaxy-wide and still get an email saying an item expired.
I've filed tickets about this before but the one thing that seems to be constant from a CSR standpoint is that the item did in fact sit on the vendor for 30 days before going poof and as such they won't reimburse it.

This message, with "you have failed to pick up your item so it expired" or so, are when the time in the Stockroom is over.
I'm sorry, but its gone.
Stockroom is not for storage, stuff in there gets deleted after 30 days.
If it wasn't in there that long write a ticket... but i guess the CSRs can't help you either

What irks me is when I offer something to someone else's vendor, and 30 days later, the person has forgotten to pick it up, and it poofs with the "your item is gone" e-mail. When it's your own vendor, you get a warning first - when the item drops to stockroom. With offers to another's vendor you don't get a warning that says "hey, it's been a while, and it hasn't been bought, you might want to pick it up." At 30 days, it just disappears.
