Thread: Structures blocking the entrance to my shop

So I logged on my alt to check on my shop....only to find that I can't get into my shop because SOE has dropped an NPC garden and a random medium Naboo house directly in front of it. I'm pretty sure this isn't a player drop because a) the garden is gated and has NPCs in it, and b) the house has no data terminal, no outside sign, or any items in it, yet it's public access. The gates to the garden are almost directly on top of the stairway to my shop. Now people can only get into my shop from one direction......going all the way aroundthe house to the other side. Of course, when I try to submit a customer service ticket, I can't click on the submit button. So I submitted a bug ticket, but I'm sure they'll just tell me that it's not a bug. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do?

What do you mean you can't click on the submit button?

Have you done a knowledge base search yet?

You have to do one before it will let you submit a ticket.

I'd suggest that you file it under "stuck character" since they seem to give priority to those and you are technically stuck OUTSIDE of your building.

Yuppers, I did the knowledge based search, and then clicked on the button that says that you want to submit a ticket anyway....fill out the ticket and the submit button is still greyed out. I submitted it as a bug instead, because I was able to click that submit button. But thanks for the suggestion. I'm guessing it's a mission and hopefully it will despawn soon.

If you have an outstanding ticket you may not create a new one. I don't know if that is the problem, but it might be.

its a random spawn.
They sometimes spawn in pretty stupid places, its nothing that SOE did deliberately just to harm your buisness.

It will be gone soon I think those random spawns stay for not too long. latest at the next server reboot, but random spawns like that near my house vanished also without a server reboot.
I'm talking about Random spawns without a lair now, you can't kill those unfortunately they just respawn over and over again

Don't worry. I am neither arrogant enough nor paranoid enoughto think that SOE did this to deliberately harm my business. I realize that it will eventually despawn (and probably long before anyone gets around to checking my ticket.) I was simply floored at the levels of incompetence reached in the running of this game. As far as I know, the spawn is still there. I, however, haven't bothered to check, as I have been too busy playing WoW to bother logging back on to SWG.

Since the servers do not go down nightly anymore, the spawns stays.

and as for random spawns with no lair , after the 6th or so spawn clear they stop.

What gets me is if CSR willmove an entire houseintoa nobuild zone

from the complaint of'I can't get to my spawn'

they should have even less problems of moving the spawn out into the clear.

I find that the ticking system is extremely faulty and

yes I do understand the whole we are busy you must wait

but some of these things should not be happening period.

(ei: spawn of such a npc house directly connecting to a pc house blocking entry in a pc city)

You have a very simple solution, kill the spawn. Grab a random combat guy if you cant do it yourslef,, or just get a combat droid it will do all the work for you,.,. it will have 5 waves of spawns then its dead, take you about 15 mins

I once had a random Janta lair spawn 10m from one of my houses. The spawn was situated ontop of a hill and my house was at the bottom of that hil. When the spawn came into being it raised the hill up so that all of my house except the roof and backside of it disappeared.

Thought it was kind of humourous. Of course all the stuff for me to craft my product was in that house and I had no combat on that character so I just waited for server reset and it went away. (I got lucky that even though this was after they stopped the daily resets, the server reset that night.)

The best answer is to get someone to kill the spawn until it goes away. The CSRs might not have the ability to kill the spawn, I don't know if they do one way or the other but its not the same as moving a player structure.

I've had the same thing happen to me..took about 15 minutes of killling the mobs every time they respawned to get the structure to de-spawn.

same thing happened to me once. i had a field of fusion gens on naboo, and the same type of spawn appeared right in the middle of em one day. it created a hill and i could only see the tops of my generators, luckily i was able to still access the gens and the spawn went away the next day.
SOE should really make it so that random spawns don't happen on top of people's structures. kinda like how we can't place structures near a lair or spawn.

I got one that was the opposite of that one day.

It created a valley under my mineral harvesters so it left them all floating in mid-air.
