I was thinking "follow the path of least resistence". So, I started doing all the basic professions, and the second one I did opened my slot.

The problem:

Countless buyers spent an ungodly amount of time searching the galaxy for vendors that had more than just 1 unit of copper in it for 999999999 credits.

How we were dealing with it:

We searched. We networked. We saved waypoints to good stocked vendors and shared these waypoints with our friends and guild mates. We rewarded and congratulated that player so considerate as to acually have a well stocked vendor. We did this with the ultimate compliment one can pay a merchant, making a purchase.

Your solution:

The galaxy wide search option.

What you have accomplished:

In simple terms, you came up with a system that hurt good players. There were places that were an oasis for the weary buyer. Places where advertised goods were actually in stock. The reward for runningan operationlike this was the right to charge a premium (im not talking about gouging) and the likelyhood that customer would return, with friends. These players never played the price war game, because they didnt have to buy thiercustomers. They earned the right to have"reasonable" prices...and to be quite frank... enjoy thegame by running asuccessful virtual business. You have eliminated the need for networking and alienated each of us further by herding us toward bazaar terminals instead of each other. What a huge mistake.

SOE lost money two nights ago...plain and simple.
