Hello merchants...My question is I am a Fencer/Swordsman and my friend is a NEW merchant. He has set up a couple vendors and has offered to sell my loot on one of them. However, he is new to the merchant profession and more specifically new to the vendor system. SO...my question is this...Is there a way for him to let me put my own stuff on the vendor or do I have to give it to him and have him place it on there? Also how does teh money work when something is sold...would it go to him or me? Also can he set up an administrator and what is it?Any help on this question would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is no way for him to let you put stuff on the vendors. You have to put them in a bag or something and offer it up to the vendors for him to sale. The money will go to him, as will the emails when the stuff sells, so you need to find someone trustworthy. There is no administrator option.
From personal experience, I sell stuff for a tailor and a BioEngineer. They put their items in a bag and email me the prices they want them at, then I log on and put them on the vendor. When stuff sales, I forward them the emails, and also tip them their money, but I keep like 5-10% of it for myself, (which was a preset thing before we done this.) Now the tailor sent me a list of prices a long time ago, so she doesn't have to worry about emailing me anything. Also, since I have their vendors, they do occasionally check to see if things sold while I'm not online that way they can have stuff ready for me to load once I log online. This is also a way of them keeping tabs on what sales besides the emails. e.x. I forgot to forward the email of a pet and it wasn't on the vendor. The BE asked me about it, and sure enough, the email was in my email box, it just blended in with a lot of other stuff so I missed it.
Anywho, I hoped this helped

The way I handle consignment sales is a bit different. I work with people who know their market, and know what their goods will sell for. They tell me what they WILL sell for - I pay them immediately 90% (If it will sell for 1k, I pay 900 each).
This negates the need to constantly forward emails - The only thing I need to do is tell them when I need more stock.

I prefer this as well. I have to watch inventory levels fairly closely to make sure things are moving, but that is preferable to me than figuring up payment after the sale.

I can't do it this way because, believe it or not, my master doc (which is where I do the above merchant set up at) only has like 80k on her. ((I don't buff, I only sell meds or heal in the med center.)) I can't afford to do it your way. The Tailor and BE and I have been in business my above mentioned way for around a year or so .. if not longer. It was frustrating at first, trying to get used to do it, but after a while, it became natural in the way that its done.
But yea, there are a couple different ways to do a merchanting deal, just pick whatever works for you
