A way to get rid of all the AFK-barkers

Add carts.

Carts would be small, player owned mobile shops that could be carried everywhere. To avoid conflicting with ragnarok online, these carts would be droids. These droids would be crafted by droid engineers at a certain level.

To make the merchant prof somewhat more useful, one of the levels in the management branch would be required to use cart droids. They would be used as any other droid. After calling, the radial menu option "manage mobile shop" would be used to enter the interface. Also, since this droid serves as a mechanical machine rather than an intelligent companion, simple renaming should be possible.

The interface would be just like a vendor's. Since this cart isnt a whole vendor, the item limit should be either 5 or 10. There would be NO price limit. Carts would be able to house several droid batteries at once, so AFK-merchanting would be possible. 25 merchant xp would be granted each time an item is sold.

The player who wishes to buy anything uses this cart as he would use any other vendor. Double click, choose, buy, retreive. Offering items would be possible, too.

This update would possibly eliminate most of the AFK-barkers (however people who lack the skill to use carts may continue to pursue this activity), and would serve as an easier way to find items we seek. (Kinda like old marketplaces.)

Although the concept is creative, I doubt very much you would get rid of barkers in the city. Carts wouldn't spam someone tell box and there is alot of competition out there and people want others to see there message simple fact.

Personally I avoid citys or just turn on my direct guild chat to avoid all the ad barking spam when I have to go into it to load up the bazaar.

You're talking about the ability to set up a market, basically. I like it More interactive than trawling the bazaar.

Reposting my follow up suggestion from the same thread...

Let's go one step further...the mobile cart (they've already got them in Dearic on Talus near the shuttle port) would actually me a bazaar-ish interface for all of that person's vendors.

So if a Master Merchant has 6 vendors (wherever they may be) the cart will show all the items from all 6 vendors and will be able to allow the customer to retrieve anything sold right then and there without needing to travel to the actual vendor. Or perhaps addshipping for an additional fee (money sink). This cart would be like a droid that appears on the datapad, so if you drop Master Merchant, poof goes the cart. There's nothing actually stored on the cart, so the Devs dont have to worry about item deletion upon dropping Master Merchant. The main benefit to the cart would be to allow a Master Merchant to set up shops in up to 6 places or have all his vendors in a remote location and still have a presence in a major city, such as Theed or Coronet. The cart could also be a money sink requiring maintenance and like was mentioned above, could require droid batteries to run. It would also provide an obvious benefit to remaining a Master Merchant instead of getting the vendors and dropping it.

My main concern is that the DEVs are obviously struggling with the concept of deleting vendors upon dropping each box in the Hiring tree and the apparent lack of need by players to maintain the Master box. So instead of taking away (and I know that's a heated issue), why not provide new content only available to Master Merchants that is lost upon dropping Master and/or other non-Hiring boxes.

Now your talking. I really really like the concept. One of the reasons I don't bother using places in the city to set up shop is because of it's limitation. You can only bring so many items with you and running back and forth to restock or not having the right item on you just isn't worth it.

My shop has an inventory of over 4000 items. (I know I just had to move it one by one to open up a bigger place). I'm a Master Architect/Tailor/Artisan. I make alot of stuff!
