Thread: Is there any way to restrict your vendor?

Two ideas:

1) Would like to make a guild only vendor with super low prices, is that possible?

2) Would like to implement econmic sanctions against the opposite faction, and not let them buy off my vendor, is that possible?

It isn't currently possible to restrict sales to groups or individuals. (We are asking for that to be changed)

You can do a bit for the Guild by putting the vendor in a structure with a 50k entrance fee and then putting Guild mates on the entry list to prevent them from having to pay. This won't prevent anyone from coming in but at 50K a pop you won't be losing much money

But you have to list each guild member individually by name. The guild:xxxxx name does not work for the admin list, only the ban and entry lists. And the Entry list has no effect when the structure is declared public, which it must be in order to house a vendor.

I don't recall now if thefaction:imperialandfaction:rebel names work in the ban list. You'll have to experiment. It seems like the last time I tried it, the name was accepted into the ban list, but it didn't actually work when I tried it with both covert and overt faction members. That was a long time ago - maybe it's changed since then.

The Entry list does have an effect on the entry fee. You do not get charged an entry fee if you are on it. However you can't use the gulid tag in the entry list for this purpose. each person must be named individually to prevent them from paying the entry fee.
