Thread: A stupid suggestion
Fact #2 - Sony wants to limit how many items can be sold from vendors.
My suggestion is this: Sony sets up a special vendor in every bazaar. This vendor is available to people who have merchant skills. The number of items that you can put on this vendor is related to your merchant skill level. It will work like the normal bazaar, except for two very special exceptions. You have no limit on what you can charge for your items, and the item limit is per city.
So let's say that you are selling harvesters, and you have enough merchant skill to have 25 items on this special vendor. You can place 25 harvesters in every city on every world where there is a bazaar.
This accomplishes several things. It allows the player population to more easily find the merchandise that they are looking for, in the place that they prefer to shop. It gives the merchants the ability to sell their high-end (or low-end) items without the overhead of merchant tents and normal vendor maintenance. It could even cut down on the spamming that goes on near most of the spaceports.
There would still be some merchandise that would work best on a vendor in a shop, but for the most part, there are a lot of crafters that would be happy to just drop off their factory runs a few times a week by traveling around to the various planets. Also, the normal bazaar would still be available for those without merchant experience.
OK, go ahead and tell me how stupid this is. Or, even worse, just ignore it.

A city bazaar market system would mean all of the bazaar terminals throughout a particular city. So someone selling in Theed would have that item limit throughout Theed, since all the terminals in a city are tied together for selling and dispensing merchandise.
Does your vision have the ability for me as a customer to go to a Bazaar terminal browse "Planet" and "Galaxy" for these items as well? And Can I buy them and then go pick them up just like the regular bazaar?
What the majority of player wand is to be able to go to one shop and find everything they need, and where they do not have to browse throe page after page of junk to find it.
The reason the bazaar is popular is due to the large amount of empty vendors. Most players are tired of driving the 1000m to a shop to find it empty, the driving another 1000m to the next empty shop and so on. This has a large effect on the majority of players willingness to buy from vendors, and the problem of empty vendors should be solved before any brand new system that requires large amounts of coding is implemented.

Yes, a customer would see these items at a normal Bazaar Terminal, and could browse through "Planet" and "Galaxy" for them. The items would function just like the Bazaar does now, except for the ability to have higher prices, and amount of items placed depending on skill level in merchant. I see this as being an alternative to having vendors, rather than a substitution for them. Most people would probably prefer to have static vendors rather than traveling all over the galaxy, restocking the bazaar. I would use the bazaar to offer a wide price-range of items, selling shoes and gloves at 500 credits, crates of stim-b's at 13k, and some swoops at 25k.
Since we are just brain-stoming here, it would also be nice to raise the time limit for items, so that perhaps by the time a person is master merchant, their merchandise would stay on the bazaar for 30 days, rather than 7. Would be a better incentive for getting master merchant than the ability to place a pink protocol droid.
