Thread: Planetary Registration Bug?

Hiya,
searched around a little ... couldn't find an answer so here goes. I got Advertising III today so I tried to register my vendor on the planetary map. When I selected the option from the vendor, the menu came up as it is supposed to be.. where you choose a category for the vendor. Since I sell Spices, Slicing Tools & Resources I wasn't sure which category to select and opened the planetary map to see what kind of vendors other people have listed under the categories. The registration window on my vendor either auto-closed or I clicked on cancel (don't remember). Well, when I was done checking the map I tried to register my vendor but when I select the option from the vendor now nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. Window doesn't come up. Nada. And my vendor is also not on the map.
Anyone know what to do? Is it time-based? Do I have to wait for server reboot? Submit ticket? Anything else?

Thanks a lot . Issue fixed itself somehow w/o a ticket. Don't know what did it. I did one shuttle trip and maybe 30 minutes or sopassed after the last attempt to register so either the loading or the time fixed it or maybe the factthat someone else visited the vendor in the meantime (when I was gone for the 30 minutes). I read somewhere here that vendors are in a kind of "sleepy" state as long as no one other than the owner has opened it.
Oh, and I went for "tools" because the "equipment" section was plastered with other vendors. That's why I checked the map actually .. to see where my vendor has at least a slight chance of sticking out

if server reset doesn't fix it then i would submit a ticket.
and i would list that vendor under "equipment" personally

Tools would work too. I remember being REALLY frustrated the other night, wandering around Dantooine looking for a med seller. I went to one listed on the map under meds, his vendor was full of loot and junk and ONE medical item *sigh* not the stim b's i needed. Talk about a misleading listing

Your bug did not fix itself.
Planetary registration is broke and the Devs don't seem to interested in fixing it.
You're vendor is only registered when they are visted for the first time.
So every morning after the server reboots and comes back up, you need to go visit your vendor, otherwise they will not show up on the map until someone does. Not such a big deal if you have a vendor in a popular town and lots of visitors come by often.
But if you have a vendor in an out of the way place and think that registering them is going to bring you traffic well......not until they fix this bug it won't.
FIX THIS BUG DEVS!!! WE WANT TO MAKE MONEY!!!!

There's no excuse for it still being broken but lord it's better than the old bug that made you manually re-register every morning.
