Everyones complaining,

"OMG They Nerfed Merchants, I'm gonna give up my Tailoring/Chef/AS/WS and quit game now!!"

Call me stupid, but I always thought the whole point of the devs putting things on the *TEST* Centre first was so they could test out the changes and get user feedback on any new features. Nothing is set in stone until it goes Live and judging by the amount of reaction you can be sure the devs will change it. But complaining about a nerf isn't going to get anywhere, put a constructive message in either the Thread in this forum, or in the TC Publish 10 thread...

Yup.. I said post a constructive post in the thread in this forums..

But don't get carried away.. I see people are already cancelling their plans or dropping professions on Live and the changes have only been on Test Centre for less than a day! Just wait to see how it pans out.

Well, to begin with, it seems they knew the hell-storm they were going to create, because the thread they "announced" it in was promptly deleted (even though it was an offical Dev "Publish 10 Patch Notes" thread.

I'm sure this is a low-ball offer from them, but many of us are sick of them giving us garbage, making the garbage hurt a little tiny bit less, and thinking it's gonna make them heroes.

This is going to force most crafters into merchant, even if they bump up the numbers, which would mean giving up any combat skills we may have so we can experience some part of the game except for looking at a vendor and endlessly moving factory crates one by one.

This is a farce to many (a not-so-funny farce) because so many crafting professions, like tailor, medical sales, anyone who sells tools, etc. are going to have to gut their businesses. 13 months into live play and doing this is just not right. Yes, crack down on people who abuse vendors for storage, but forcing people to consign to vendors just to function is not fun and not possible because it's so insecure.

Unless they implement a secure system of being able to offer things to a Merchants vendor for resale without requiring them to pay us up front (no Merchant is going to pay me millions of credits for every crate of droids I make, which is what I sell them for), and securing those items from deletion either intentionally via the radial menu or from vendors/structures being deleted, this is ludicrous.

This is the Internet, and the Devs can pretend that Interdependence is next to Godliness all they want, but forcing us to risk millions of credits in inventory to a merchant with no recourse should we not get paid or our items somehow destroyed is about the most Game-Breaking thing I can concieve of.

This is why people are upset - because this is being done with absoultely no consideration of how this game is played nor how people have been able to survive this long playing with so much broken, the way in which it's being done, or the facts of REAL LIFE which prevent us from just "trusting" that people will do the right thing.
