a cap is one thing but this is unacceptable ..
if the issue is data base space . BUY MORE .. i pay for this service..
let soe know this is unacceptable ...

I'm a master merchant/weaponsmith now which pretty much limits what I can do in game other than craft.
This just makes the merchant profession useless IMHO.
Expect to see alot more auctions on trade forums.
No longer will anyone waste a trip to an empty vendor because there will be no vendors left

I agree. The cap is completely insane......they need to rethink what they are doing here.
This is going to piss ALOT of people off, myself included.
I run a resource vendor.......400+ items
I run my armor vendor.......600+ items.
THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
How in the hell am i supposed to sell all my stuff that i have? They go through with this, where am i going ot put all the stuff that i will currently have? Not enough storage in houses, and then they will nerf the merchants vendors??
Im afraid i might not be playing this game very much longer. Im getting sick of the stupid things they mess with, and dont fix the thigns that are broken.
Im really **edit**ing sick of it

its like they WANT us to quit ?
i really dont get this one .. do the devs not play the same game? dont you ppl realize merchant sucked to begin with now you do this?

They do; and here's why.
EQ2 is coming soon.
SOE doesn't have to pay royalties to Lucasarts for EQ2.
I'm starting to believe that SWG has just been a big beta for EQ2.

We spend months for them to do real things to help us and make merchant a usefull/enjoyable proffession.. like increase the stack size of resources etc... and instead we get the only real skill we really have ruined.
Like many I have k's of items for sale... some sell fast others do not. Now I have to play nurse maid to my vendor, constantly re-inventorying my wares to make sure my 5 stacks of item xdidnt all sell out... This isnt a death nail.. but such a massive time sink it makes me not want to even bother.
And what the hell does an empty "and/orabandoned" vendor mean..? !?!?!? If I have a vendor "I" dont visit in 2 weeks its going to vanish? I go on business trips for more time then that.. so what I have to empty my vendors before I leave town and restock them when I get back.
This is moronic, stupid and plain old going to make even more people walk out.

heh 110.... Great joke.. so what's the real number?
I just want to take the time to thank the devs for finally giving me the best excuse yet to stop selling stuff and become an ub33r elite swordsman/ master brawler/ TKM and camp elders all day.. thanks you....

Ham-Jo. You come buy my 2500 clothes, my 300-400 tailor component crates, my 300 wookiee only items and the odds and ends, 300+ on 2 other vendors and I'll see if I can scrape up enough cash to buy your overstock until you reduce to your limit too. Oh wait. I'm a tailor that doesn't sell BE clothes. Sorry. I'm too broke for that plan to work. And now I will have to slash prices or delete everything. Hmm. I better save up what little I have and start working on Master TK. Let's see. I have to go get Novice Brawler first.

lol....kinda makes the "next page" button useless...rename it to "last 10 items".
Those numbers need to be tweaked...a bunch.

OMG! LOL! Thank you! You found the silver lining! I will never, ever have to /tell or mail a customer again to please use the Next Items button!!! And I can remove the backpack "sign" that says ***USE NEXT ITEMS BUTTON!*** Wow. I'm so happy. /tears of joy

I am an AS with no merchant skills, I franchise my sales through a vendor run by a Master Merchant. This idiocy will simply put me out of business, I love the challenge of being a good AS but will NOT put as much time into it as I would a real job. With the repeat stocking that would be needed that is what this would mean. Either that or doubling the prices, stocking bagged suits only and putting newb's further out of the game. That doesn't even mention what this would do to my Merchant or the one who runs the mall my vendor's in...
If this goes live it's enough to force me out of AS and petentially out of the game entirely. I suggest now taht if it does go live we organise a protest that makes the "wookies want armour" one look like the Teddy Bears Picnic.

I say we strike........ All Artisans..... say we threaten not to sell **edit** or shat till the devs stop smoking whatever the hell makes u think 660 items is enough for a guy who just spent like 72+ skill points!!!
Think of it.. .adventually ub33r!!! ElitE!! swordsmen/ master brawlers/ TKMs will run out of armor... and then what will happen? Pikemen will get mad cuz they dont get any DOT pikes.. then PvPers will cry cuz all the Free FP pikemen are gone... then the jedi will cry cuz all the free PvP rank normals arent pvping... and soon the Devswill cry cuz they dont get to give jedi new toys cuz they cant get xp.... then wewill have a full blown !RIOT! All because they messed with the one profession that u dont want to mess with... yes im talking about MERCHANT!!!!
