Never heard of this bug.
Make sure you have "All" selected in the Stockroom page, otherwise it might show everything at first and then apply the filter you've clicked, that would look exactly like you said, that it vanishes after a second.
If you are in the "All" mode, then i propose you write a ticket, a CSR might be able to help you
