Early this morning Icreate a CSR ticket because of the above problem while trying to retrieveresources from my vendor. I was pleasantly surprised when I receive a response back when I login a few minutes ago. Not only the CSR acknowledge there's a problem, he took his time to explain what really happened.

Basically the item was purchased by another player but the vendor did not update the listing. According to the CSR, I did receive the credit so no reimbursement was necessary.

To CSR-JustinD, thanks again for your help and taking time to really research the problem. To all CSRs, I knowthe playerscan be a pain in the arse sometimes, but don't let that stop you from caring. Understand that sometimes we're caught up in the moment and the anger was not meant for you guys. Keep up the good work.

It's not always true though... It happened to me with 15 crates that were offered to my vendor at 1 cr each by a friend. I can guarantee that nobody else than me bought them as they were an offer and in my stockroom when I tried to withdraw them... So in your case the CSR may be right but it's very possible that it was just the same bug again.

Songe, how long did you keep the item in the stockroom? It's possible that the system 'eat them up' for being
there too long. Someone in the forum said between 5 -7 days. So it could be that crates were there too long and the system purge them but never update the listing. But you may be right ..

No. I have had this happen when the whole transaction took place within minutes. Basically any error in the withdrawal results in that message and there can be a number of reasons why the withdrawal fails.

When the sale is a legitimate purchase you have no problems. The problem is when you are doing something that the system really wasn't designed to do (selling for 1 credit for consignment purposes or to give somethign to someone). Not that I don't use it that way myself, it just wasn't designed with that specifically in mind and their work around for the withdrawal errors penalizes you if you are using it in that manner.

This bug isn't limited to offers or low-value sales - I had it happen to me last week on a 200k crate of rocket launchers. I bought it, went to retrieve, and it said the item no longer exists and credits have been refunded.

Yes I had bought the items and left them in the stockroom maybe 5 minutes before I tried to retrieve them. All I got is 15 cr for them...I know I won't ask people to drop things on my vendor for 1 cr anymore.

I had one of my two Christmas holos go poof from my inventory couple days after getting it.

The CSR reply acknowledged that problem too, but his workaround was for me, a master merchant, master artisan and master archie, to unequip EVERYTHING I have on my character and camp out for 30 mins...

1) this is a workaround for having a full inv when getting a new item, which my inv was NOT full.

2) there is physically NO way I can unequip the character: 1 house with 146 items, 1 house with 145 items, 1 tent with 72 items, 1 tent with over 50 items, bank more than half full....so WHERE am I supposed to unequip to in order to retrieve something that was GIVEN to me and poofed due to a BUG? Nowhere, that's where.

So.....no credit due to CSR here.

I had this happen yesterday, a friend asked me to sell a couple pieces of furniture he no longer needed, he offered to my vendor at 1 cr, i purchased them, they were in my stockroom, but when i retrieved them i got the message, this item no long exists and you have been refunded. I was shocked. Why a toolbox and a table go poof was beyond me, now i see that there is yet another merchant/vendor bug that will casue people to lose alot of items or credits. *sigh*

I also have spent the better part of my morning trying to set up a new vendor adn i keep running into the vendor not initialized bug. I have used every work around i know of and nothing is helping this time.

I am one very frustrated merchant....

I am curious i had this happen to me also recently. This never happened on my old bot vendor(premerchant). Has anyone had this happen on a non-merchant vendor?
