Thread: A proposal of unity against nerf coming

I propose that every merchant put a HUGE access fee on all of their buildings that they have vendors in. This way we can get the point across that this is unacceptable to a percentage of us that play this game as merchants.

From what I heard this fix goes live tomorrow, I suggest we put our access fees on tonight and tomorrow.

660 is not enough for master merchant!

you've ben told or read wrong. This was NEVER intended to go live tomorrow. more conspiracy theories.

Sometimes I wonder if the devs are developing the same game we are playing....


With the changes the number of empty venders you go to will be dramatically reduced. BUT the number of venders up at ALL will be dramatically reduced. The variety of items available will be dramatically reduced. If I count correctlya master weaponsmith can make 64 different weapons (not counting limited use schematics). If the master weaponsmith also uses the skill points necessary to get Artisan - Business III, he can stock 50 items. That's less than 1 of each item....


A master armorsmith can make 50 different items. What should he or she stock? A suit of composite armor is 9 pieces.


A master tailor can make well over 100 different items. What should he or she stock?


This change to venders amounts to hamstringing all crafters not just merchants. If you think it's hard to find what you want now, imagine what it's gonna be like when the 'good' merchants are cut to 110 items on a vender or a crafter than can't afford the skill points for merchant is cut to 50 items. It's not too hard to figure out what's going to happen. Imagine you are a merchant, you have 6 venders placed on 3 or 4 different planets, you keep them stocked with 1300 items each, and once every few days you have to make the rounds to restock items that have sold out. Now suddenly you can't put 1300 items on a vender, you can't put 1300 items on all your venders TOTAL. What are you likely to do? (I chose the number 1300 because the last well stocked vender I found on Wanderhome, Siyber Arms (sry about the spelling) has 1280 items on it.)


All of that said, Merchants AND crafters need to take a stand together. This change is not be made with a Nerf Bat, it's being made with a Very Heavy Sledgehammer.

FIGURE IT THIS WAY, SUPPOSEN YOU ARE A CHEF, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE, BRANDY AND THAT IS IT. THERE GOES ALL THE REST OF THE FOODS AS BRAND IS WHAT SELLS THE MOST AT THE HIGHEST VALUE AND BY THE CASE AS WELL!!
