Okay, as I've said in other posts on this subject, I don't have time to read the thousands and thousands of posts on this topic, so I may have missed something that was said about this.

What I want to know is WHY the nerf is being considered. Is it database reduction? Is it to help out the novice crafters get into the market? Tell us WHY!

If it's database reduction, I'm sure there is another way to accomplish this. I've said in other threads that deleting items that reach 0/0 instead of keeping them in game would help with this, as well as give crafters a lot of repeat business. What good does it do a tailor when 0/0 items of clothing can still be worn? You could also give other items a lifespan..how about furniture? And vehicles...they can be repaired up to maximum quality, right? Make it so that repairs are reduced in effectiveness the more you repair them, like weapons do. Then, at some point, the vehicle becomes non-repairable, the owner has to buy a new one, and the artisan gets to sell it to them, keeping the economy going.

As for helping out the new crafter, or reducing monopolies, I agree with the majority of crafters who have posted about this. I worked my way up the artisan tree, then all the way up to Master Tailor. I harvested my own resources. I started vendors when I was still a novice tailor, and put what I could make on those vendors, as well as selling off the bazaar. I did my time, and new crafters will have to do thiers. I advertise extensively in the Mining Outpost and in Coronet. I want to build my business, and I'm going to do it through hard work, and through providing the best customer service to my clients. What kind of customer service would I be providing if my vendor could only stock 10% of what I currently carry? I've worked in retail for 16 years. Out of Stocks kill any business. One retailer I worked at has 'Selection of Stock' as one of the things customers can rate them on. Reducing stock will not help me, or any other crafter, whether they're new to the profession, or have been a master for months. Why would a person want to go to the trouble of mastering an elite crafting profession when all he has to look forward to is a limited amount of items he/she can sell?

Please, tell us WHY this is being considered. If anyone in the community has links to posts from corrospondants or devs explaining the rationality behind this nerf, please post them in this thread so I might be enlightened.
