Thread: My idea to solve the merchant problem.

Ok this is my proposed idea for solving the problem of too many items in a vendor. Ok you know when you walk up to a merchant and hit use. It comes with a list to sort the items out. How about having merchant specialization. Where say you are a weaponsmith so you set your vendor so it can sell only 1 type of item. So when people go to look at your vendor it only has weapons on the list. That crafters such as me can stock their vendors full of what they want but people can’t abuse the system and put hundreds of different items on a vendor. So I as a Droid Engineer could sell my droids on one vendor and batteries and repair kits on another. Also, I believe they should get rid of all the illegal vendors and that would also solve some of the problem. Please post your thoughts and oppions on this idea.

problem is I am a tailor i would be cutting my own throat with one type of clothing. i would need 100 venders to carry all my clothing.

doctors would have to have a vender for ever type of med they can make.

Armor smith would i need a vender for every different peice and then style of armor?

say i am a furniture maker, harvesters, houses, a vender for each style and planet.

city structures. fountains,statues,

combat medics

what about resource venders my gosh your looking at thousands of venders.

you need to be able to offer a varity unless you yourself choose to jusy offer one item.

No I am saying that you would have a vendor completely for clothes not just shirts. Armorsmiths would have a vendor only for armor not chestplates only. So then crafters can have a vendor in what they make and they can't load it up with everything possilbe like loot and other stuff thay they don't make.

Don't like the idea at all.

What about vendors for merchants that don't craft anything at all? Say I want to simply run a resale business, selling armor, food, weapons, smuggler supplies, but I don't make any of it? I can't sell this stuff?

Who can sell resources? There are no certifications for resources.....
