You need to build a droid with a merchant barker module installed, and in order to use it, you need advertising IV in merchant. There is an option on radial menu of droid that allows you to record your message, and insert a waypoint for customers to retrieve from the droid. Then just pull it out, tell it to stay, turn the barker on and your set! Hope this helps.

First, I believe you need Advertizing IV to use a barker droid.

Second you need a droid with a ad-barking module. (I assume you have one or you wouldn't be asking.)

Third call your droid then from its radial menu put your cursor over the "toggle Ad-Barking" or "Get Waypoint"or whatever it is called and some additional options should appear. Select "Record Message" then speak the message exactly the way you want the droid to say it (you can include the waypoint coordinates if you like or simply direct them to click on the droid for the waypoint).

Next, select the "Set Waypoint" option and select the waypoint you want from the list (which reflects what is in your datapad).

Finally, select the option "Toggle Ad-Barking On/Off" to start your droids ad-barking. Make sure has battery power remaining - the ad-barking will drain the battery over time.

You can test your droid by telling it to stay and running out and back to it again. It usually, but not always, will bark its ad to you when you do this but you may have to try a couple of times. You can even try getting the waypoint from the droid by double-clicking it - a duplicate of the waypoint you gave it should then appear in your datapad.
