Posting it here since a lot of merchants are also crafters and didn't want to limit this to one profession or server.
A lot ofcrafters develop over time superstitions and customs to recreate their streak of amazing successes. As DE, I don't have a lot of critical stuff to craft so I don't have any at the moment. Back in my days as weaponsmith in DAoC I used to take breakes when I hit a streak of fails, or travel for 20 minutes to another forge. Here I keep my fingers crossed when doing an AV-21 for someone but that's about it.
Anyone here developed some habits that you're willing to share with the world and may put a smile on our face?

I used to hold my breath for AV-21's and really anything that used rare components.
Now that they've done away with critical fails altogether, there's really no risk.
As for experimentation, I just hope for amazings but settle for great successes.
In fact, since I got FS Experimentation 4 about3 months ago, I haven't had a single experimentation success that was less than great. Best skill ever!

The worst for me was slicing. After I had done all that work I would have a 50/50 shot of it being as good as I hoped no matter how good the experimentaion had gone.
