Thread: What I would like to see...

I would like a way to rent out venders I am not using on a commision basis.

I would like to see our signs more creative with perhaps flashing neon, with each level having more eye appeal.

I would like to see more ways our services would be a commodity, ie:perhaps barker droids with timers that keep them up for a set time once they are placed, even if we log.

Timers that tell me how long any item has been on a vendor, with the ability to set 3 or more discount levels at given time intervals so that old inventory goes on sale, rather than gets thrown into the storeroom every 30 days.

Npc buyers for the empire and rebels that buy resources at low prices so I have somewhere to sell old resources that have been superceded by newer better resources.

Npc buyers for other items at fluctuating prices depending on how many people are selling to them.

Resourcxe vendor that keeps each resource in one pile, but allows a buyer to buy the quantity he wants, from that pile, at preset quantity prices. This would reduce my stock of water, alone, from 250+ line items to under 50. If all the resources could be done this way my resource vendor may have <100 items on it instead of 500+

Okay, maybe I've been playing too much Sims, but I would LOVE to be able to redecorate my house. I hate the pink walls in my Naboo houses sooo much. I like the layout, but the Pink!!! Even if it was something as simple as "themes" you could select from the terminal, that applies to the whole house. Or a customization kit, like the vehicle or droid customization kits. Why can't I have green or blue walls?

Also, I would love it if the item placement/arraingement system was easier. If items meant to go _on_ a table or desk could "snap" to the top of the surface. Right now, it's /drop, /rotate, /move forward(back)(up)(down). And hope that you can maybe get it where you want it. I'd be much happier if I could drag-and-drop, even to a grid system!!

That being said, I know of people who have done amazing things with their houses with the current system. I just want a little more flexibility and a little less math.

I forgot...

I would also like to see "bulletin boards" available in cities, to post events, wants, etc. My goal is to turn our city into a non-combat commerce and entertainment center. I'd like to be able to post a notice like, "Saturday night, 9pm eastern, there's a concert at the Tavern." Or, "Need a medic to go on your group mission? See the Medical Center about hiring a medic." Or visitors can post that they're looking for a medic, entertainer, dancer, BE, etc. Like a player-oriented Mission Terminal!

I don't want to spam the auction channel or outside spaceports. I don't know if anyone even reads the auction channel because of the spamming! But once we get our city built up, I'll need to advertise. And Bulletin Boards in-game would be perfect. No spamming. Only read them if you choose.

I'll probably remember more during the day.

I'm not sure what other people do, but I got so tired of trying to figure out the increments and such when decorating my house that I just took one of my toolbars and made a bunch of macros for moving objects. One set of hotkeys for moving up/down/forward/back in increments of 100, 10 and 1. That way I can just tap the button several times until it looks right. Same for rotate, except in increments of 180, 90 and 10. It's just a lot easier than trying to eyeball it and is pretty fast.

While I'm at it, why can't we "package" lots? If I'm moving across town, I have to make dozens of trips to get all my items from one house to the other. If we had the option to redeed the house with all the decor inside, that would be lovely.
