I hope an experienced Merchant could help me (and all the other clueless folk) out with a few How-Tos.

I'm a Master Artisan, Novice DE, and now a Novice Merchant (but no skill boxes filled in yet, and not sure I want them anyway). I have had one of the regualr giant terminal Vendors for awhile, but now I wanted a NPC one for savings on maintenence (I know they may change that soon, but not if they don't wanna piss off tons of folks), and because it just looks nicer. I know the basics of putting things on and getting things off the vendors for the most part. Must have been lucky cause I haven't lost too much to bugs other than some items that went bye-bye after their 7 days had run it's course and I didn't retreieve them soon enough (how soon does the vendor decide to wait till it hits the delete button on your items no longer active for sales?)

Well my main info desired is what it takes for me to get my NPC Vendor registered so that they show up as a Wapoint under the Vendor listing when you pull up the map (CTRL-V)

Vendors seem to wait about sevenish days before deleting items in the stockroom. It's best to put them back up for sale quickly.

You need advertising three to be listed on the world map.
