I give up on being a merchant. Heck, as it was the main thing I was going I think I'm going to be done with the game as well.

There is nothing in this game to encourage people to stay a merchant. I have600 items on my vendors.I spent 3 hours putting back everything on sale yesterday because they had been on sale for 7 days. Everything I sell disappears when people leave my shop, sometimes they ask for a refund, and I lose money because they don't believe it will come back. And today, the last straw, my vendors and their 600 items disappeared.

Well done SoE, I'll be back in one year when the game is finished.

Ouch..if my vendor poofed I would quit too. Sorry to hear that Songe.

Echoing the frustration, yes---the vanishing item bug has gone on way too long now...2 months??? I'm about ready to stop sales too.

Oh man ... I wish I had your luck. I get multiple emails / tells a day from my customers as well as having to deal with this personally. I routinely rotate stock that doesn't sell on my vendors and move them to the bazaar. But nearly 100% of the time, the items will poof as I enter town forcing me to log out for 10-15 min to get it back.

Lost a full set of armor last night due to this bug .... I bought some new Ubese armor and took off my old Chitin armor. Well sure enough the Ubese poofed like I figured it would so I put back on my old Chitin so I wouldn't be nekkid. When I logged out and relogged in ... it had my new Ubese on my character and my Chitin was gone .... and still is.

*sigh*

My personal theory is that if you buy something and avoid crossing a zone line for 10 minutes or so, the items will not poof. So if you are a vendor out in the boonies, chances are you don't get many complaints. But for those of us near a town, it is common since most of my customers run back to Bestine when done shopping at my vendors ... poof!

Be a little more firm with your clients, they'll respect you for it. Let them know of the bug, and that 99 times out of 100, the item will return the next day after the morning server resets (or whatever it is that goes on). I always tell them that if the item is not in their inventory the next day, I'll gladly refund their money. I've never lost a credit on this.

As for vendors poofing, I've never seen this happen. I do know, however, that sometimes when running into an area, it may take up to 10 minutes for all the objects to appear to me. Once I ran up to where I thought our PA Hall was, and was shocked to see a big open space. After fretting over chat for 10 minutes, it slowly re-appeared. I wonder if this same thing may be happeining with your vendors, and if you walk away from the computer for 10 minutes, breathe, and then come back they may be there.

Once I went on a rant for a half-hour online thinking that all the items in my vendor had dissapeared! It turns out that even though my filter looked like it was on the "All" setting, the last place I had been I was searching for Misc.>Wearable Containers. Well, clicking the All button again magically made all the items on the vendor re-appear. I felt like an idiot, but there you are.
