I just got this rank recently, and tried to give some of my NPC merchants new clothing. They said thanks for the new cloths but never wore any of it other then the weapons. Is this not working or do I need special NPC's or something?

Thanks in advance

It's a merchant skill, therefor it does not work.

No, you need to buy the special 'Working' version of SWG. Please return to your local store and continue to buy the product until you receive a working non-beta version. 1 in 20 wins!!

Please note that all games purchased must have a seperate account paid in 6 months advance before qualifying to win the working Merchant profession.

Ha!

So you mean to say that YET AGAIN, another Merchant Skill is BROKEN...?

Why am I not surprised?

No wait! Let's charge us MORE to haveBROKEN vendors.

*sighs*

I was very much looking forward to this skill, just so that I could dress each of my vendors up in the armor that I would have him stocking. Imagine my dismay when I began handing my vendor various pieces or armor only to see them not showing up. Surprisingly enough, this skill DOES work with weapons. If you give a weapon to a vendor he'll carry it, but not any kind of clothing. Needs to be addressed, pronto.

Well I do not have hiring IV yet so I do not know if I got a working copy

Wait, my planetary list and ad barking turn off every morning. I guess I got one of those non working copies.

Thanks Gerh. Need to keep the humor.

the ithorians(sp?) hammer head guys wear jackets...but it bleeds horribly through their default clothing, and theres no way to undress them after that

Yes it works with wookies, but not only. It also works with the "Weequay" race, the weird short dudes with the buttload of ugly braids sticking out the left side of there heads. Males only. I just dressed mine up nice and put a helmet on him.

There is one other class that works as well but I cannot remember right now.

I was disappointed too. I know for sure it doesn't work to put clothes on Twileks. And with the OTHER vendor bug that causes your inventory to fill up with destoyed-but-not-REALLY-destroyed vendors, I'm not about to go through and check them all.

I also think that it sucks that they went ahead and started up the vendor maintenance costs before they fixed all this stuff. Now we pay more for the same old broken crap. GREAT fun. I can't wait until they fix this stuff....I think I'm going to hold my breath now--the patch will surely come ANY time now....

I just got this skill. Thought to myself... self, I could get a skill that would be more practical, but ya know, this would be fun. So I trudge off back to Coronet looking for training. No one in their right mind would train this skill, so I, without knowing the skill was broken, went to the Merchant trainer and forked out 9000 credits.

Back at my shop, I make a few items of clothing, and hand something to one of my four vendors. I get a "thanks for the clothing boss" but no change in vendor look. I think, well, maybe if I log off and back on, then it will be ok.

Nope, still not working.

I figure.. ok smart vendor guy, you don't like the jacket I gave you, Ill fix ya. I make a pair of white shorts... You will stand there in nothing but a pair of underwear, see how you like that! I get another thanks for the clothing boss and no change.

I consider putting in a ticket, but then recall the last 3 or 4 tickets I put in about various missing lost things and any bugs, even turned one in on a possible exploit, went unanswered.

Then I recall the statement made by SOE about better serving our customers by deleting our tickets and telling us to limit what we put in.

Scratch the /bug idea.

So I guess the priority is hurry and fix the bugs that are meant to slow advancement andsiphon off our money, but the bugs that help and entertain us can wait till later?

I guess I wasted 20,000 credits and a bunch of merchant xp on entire lines that are broken?
