Thread: Vendor no initializing
I have a new box style vendor in mymedium Tatooine house that will not initialize. I am the owner of the home and the Master Architech who dropped the vendor in for me was placed on my admin list. He drops and turns on the vendor but then we both can not put anything in it. It says, vendor fails to initialize, or something like that. Is there a step we are missing? Any suggestions will be greatly apreeciated. Thank you.

I can't place any new vendors at all. I drop them and they have no option for adding maintenace. The only two vendor controls are initialize and remove, and the initialize doesn't even work.
Dammit this game is so freaking irritating. I'm going to watch 24.
This bug hasn't been found yet, but there are some possible workarounds in the thread at the top of the forum called "Terminal Vendor Workaround"
I was about to say.... and yea it worked for me (the dumb ass workaround)... lol
some coder some were is probably laughing his ass off right now. "give me the **edit** jobs and then lay my intern ass off!! lol let's see u track down this bitch of a bug hahahahhaha...."
hehe

I wasn't placing terminal. I was placing a protocol droid and an NPC. No luck before I bailed for the night last night. I'll try again today I guess.
The initializing bug seems to affect all non NPC vendors (Terminals and droids)
So far I haven't seen any reports that it was affecting an NPC but there is a first time for everything.
It isn't even just not initiliazing. There are no options under vendor control aside from Initialize and Remove. Not only on vendors I tried to place, but any that my PA Mates tried to place, of any kind, terminal droid and/or NPC. Number of times retrying had no effect, I tried 17 times in a row with a different vendor type each time with no luck. Anyhow, that was last night, I'll try agan today and let you know.
Thanks!

Just to recap for those having problems with the bulky vendors.
I originally had another person set the vendor in for me and he couldnt do it after multple attempts, so I trained in Business III to try it out myself.
Itoo had problems initializing the vendor and I narrowed it down to my version of the solution.
Here's how I did it, try this if you still have problems.
1. Place Vendor
2. Initialize Vendor
3. Motion to initialize Vendor again by quickly clicking and dragging off the initaialize radial button till it disappears.
4. Quickly double click on the vendor and it should pop open.
That's it.
The key I have discovered is speed.
If you do steps 3 and 4 quickly in succession, it works. Try it.
