I am just curious. Those of you in player cities and in PAs, do you charge for use of your tent? If you do, what are you charging? Maybe you don't charge and exchange for lots?

I'm sure it varies from city to city. In my town, we're currently offering for free the ability to place one vendor in one of our town tents. But only to semi-established merchants who are city residents.

The idea for us is to have a nice shopping area for our residents and visitors, so right now we're only offering space in our marketplace area to merchants with vendor experience who areinterested in moving their existing shops (or opening a new branch in our town). By having this extra little requirement, we are hoping to avoid what I've seen in way too many player cities on our server... areas full of merchant tents with several empty or mostly-empty vendors in each one. Nothing turns a shopper off more than that, it discourages return visits to a shopping area. So we're trying to keep our tents full of serious merchants who are actually going to keep their vendors nicely stocked.

But I'm sure other cities have very different goals and systems.

Im a DE and I don't know how many emails I get every day for people saying thanks for just keeping my vendor stocked

you know what??? I really dont know.Nobody really offered there vendors to our shops and where the largest PC on Corellia (valcyn server). I can find out, but I really think there may be a minute fee, but nothing EXTREME.
