Since flaming is the norm on the SWG forums I put in the disclaimer.

I read the faq stickied at the top but I also know things change and the devs had something in the works about vendor fees.

My question is simple.

What are the current vendor fees.

If I get business III and place a vendor how much will it cost me to maintain it?

That is all. . . thank you.

I believe the answer is in the Guide.. but it is a base of 15cr/Hr

Thanks andI saw that. My only concern is I knew the devs were talking about a tax to implement a money sink. You remember that one that they would take the total value of inventory divided by some amount and charge you that every 45 minutes. You know the thread that had 3000 pages of "NO DON'T DO THIS" responsesand they did it anyway I was wondering if THAT was still in place.

However if it's a flat rate of 15 credits an hour that's what I need to know.

Thank you.

Actually the history of that is that it was the way it was suppsed to have been working all along and in fact was working on the Terminal and Droid Vendors. They posted about making it work that way for the NPC's and the uproar convinced them to make them all 15cr/hr. Which sounds great.. but it does mean that the Terminal you get from Business III is exatly as efficient as the NPC's you get at novice merchant and beyond. Before there was a definite advantage to getting novice merchant and the skills above that ..cost.. now that is gone. Not lobbying for that to come back. It was just a reality and not it is gone further devaluing the Merchant profession.

Thank you.

There is still value to the merchant profession I think.

The simple fact that at business III all you can have is a bulky box that can't DO anything still means merchants have value.

At least that's my opinion and I'm an outsider looking in.

I didn't mean to imply there is nothing useful in the merchant line. Far from it. I think the Advertising line is very useful and if you like variety and choices the Hiring line is good too.

What I meant to say was that prior to the november pubish it was true that it was cheaper for a crafter to hire a merchant and pay then 10% than it was to deal with the charges they were getting on their vendors. That isn't true any more and it further damages the Merchant Profession which desparately needs to be given a competitive edge over "do it yourself" selling.
