Thread: question regarding vendor XP and the vendor existing in the world
I've read on the FAQ about having to have your vendor "exist" in the world by having someone standing next to it in order to get XP.
A friend of mine in-game is pursuing Merchant and she said she hasn't been having any problems with getting XP from vendors when they do not "exist" in the world. She recently started going after Merchant for her tailoring profession.
Was this fixed in the December publish? Do 'non-existant' (not loaded in the world) placed vendors give experience now? And do you get merchant XP when you're offline, whether or not the merchant bug is still around?

Yep. Fixed in the December publish. Vendors that aren't loaded now "catch up" when they get loaded. So if you come online and you notice your xp is lower than it should be just go get the vendors up and you should see your xp jump in within a minute or two.
Aaaah, so if no one's visited them, you just go visit them yourself and all the xp will come flowing in to you. Good to know. This bug was the main reason I was really turned off by the Merchant profession. I wasn't going to keep my character logged into the game 24 hours a day to get the merchant XP I needed. This should be interesting now!
