ok if i have a vender up and someone buys something, do i get XP from that?

If you read the Guide at the top of this forum you will see that you get 150 xp per hour per vendor. And you get 50 xp for each time someone views your vendor items (with a 10 minute timer) and 50 xp for every entry fee you collect.
You don't actually have to sell anything..and selling things doesn't enhance your xp at all..though having something to sell might increase your traffic and therefore your xp rate.
