Thread: The backpack change...
WHAT!!
Please show me a link to this htis will afect my business TENFOLD
I sell Krayt tissue etc -- they sell in sets!!!
I don't have a link but check the In Testing board and look at the patch notes threads for publish 7. It was in one of the patches from last week.
I have asked about this and several other correspondants have as well but we don't have a response about it yet. I'm not sure what problem they are solving with this fix though there is speculation on a number of issues.
Sounds to me like they're trying to solve the same problem all the other changes address: Reduce server load by mindlessly altering game mechanics till people quit.
I hear in Publish 8 you're going to have to drag individual credit coins from your inventory to the vendor to pay for things... and they use 1 volume each, non-stackable.
this is all i see please cut and paste the thread
Bazaar / Vendor
-------------------------------------------------------
Commodities Market/Vendors: Fix to no longer allow people to sell bags that are not empty on vendors.
Commodities Market/Vendors: Added error messages for attempting to sell items in trade windows, non-empty bags, and un-tradeable items like goggles and light sabres.
anyone know what happens to pre existing bags on vendors --
what sucks is i support the trade of krayt tissue on my vendor -- allot of the tisue comes through me -- i make others money etc ...
this is like taking a step back to the dark ages -
they are serial numbered items -- I say remove the serial numbers -- give us more lising options -- like naming our catagories
I am soooo angry

Honestly, Doc, that was no surprise to me, I'd assumed as much all along.
I did too but I didn't want to "announce" that as the reason until they committed publically about the reason. It could have been a space thing but they are not usually as preemptive about database issue chagnes. The fastest way to get something on the schedule for a publish is to have it affect a lot of people and them flood CS with complaints about it.
