Thread: House Sign: Text is Cut Off!

Hello, I successfully pasted a three-line text message into my house sign window and yet my house sign shows only the first line and part of the second. I've seen many houses with very long messages and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. My lines are not as lengthy as some!
Please advise. Thanks!

If you are using color changes that will be part of the problem. The text box only stores a certain number of characters including those that don't show up when you view the sign. So if you are using a color change \#000000\ counts as 9 characters even though you don't see any of them on the sign.

I had the same problem with one of my signs. I finally settled for less color changes to get the text I wanted.

BTW, Doc, what's the maximum number of characters in a sign, do you know offhand?

I don't know off hand. Its probably 256 or 512 or something like that. I haven't calculated it though.
