Thread: Experimenting nerf in publish 7. What are you doing to prepare?

In light of the upcoming nerf to experimentation, I'm wondering what other merchants are doing to prepare for the new generation of lower quality goods. Personally, as a weapons and stims reseller, I've contacted my suppliers and asked for shipments of whatever they had time/willingness to put together for me. I don't know how much effect the nerf will have on things, but to be on the safe side I'm stocking up pretty heavily. Is there anyone else doing this? Or perhaps something different?

I would advise pulling everything out of crates given what they did to FWG5s.

well...if what i have been hearing is true across the board, we should have enough items to last into the next century

i have also heard some people saying that this is their last run....when they finish out the schematics or use up the resources they are dropping their professions and going mostly combat

for others this was just the last straw and the are hitting the escape pod and leaving alltogether

I sell non-experimented items anyway, so there'll be no direct impact on my business.

On the other hand, I fully expect, if they go through with this (and it looks likely, but I'm holding out hope...) I fully expect my overall business to drop as crafters stop playing or go combat professions, followed by a point in the not-distant future where the server player density falls below the unknown magic minimum needed to sustain the first "M" in "MMORPG" ("massive" fyi) and I retire as well from an already lifeless game.

As a victim of the earlier nerf (which cost me 25 crates of FWG5s ie 625 pieces of weapons), I started reach out to see what happened to those with non-crated pre-nerf stuffs on vendors. To much dismay but with no surprise, some of the players I come across did confirm that the guns on their vendors were "seized" without warningl. Wish this could server as a kind of warning to those who rely on vendors' storage for their precious stocks. Though it is still unknown to me, bazzars should equally be traps a well.

Good Luck All!

I'm kinda new to these forums and especially to the Artisan class. What will the experimentation nerf do (I know what a nerf is, but not too much about experimentation)?

As it was pointed somewhere, current change affects to crafting/experiment stage not to schematics so it shouldn't affect to crated items at all like what happened with fgw5's.

Actually they're not doing it anymore. Check the Dev's post for details. They're rolling it out in this publish, and hot fixing it back to the way it is now on Wednesday.
