Fixed the max sale price on vendors being the same as the bazaar.



Does this mean what I think it means? I hope im reading it wrong but does it mean that we are gonna have the option of selling OUR items on OUR vendors for only 2k???? I dont know if im reading this right (so very hope im not) but if this is true they just totally messed me over... Im not a true merchant yet (dont plan on being full time merchant untill my PA is better setup & we get player made citys) but I am a Archetect & sell my houses & factorys on my vendors so that people have a 24/7 area to purchase my buildings from... by making it go only 2k up this is going to eliminate that almost completly (except my furniture & small extractors) im gonna then have to go into citys & sell. though i already do that sometimes this can get very ugly with me (im a 56k User :smileysad The patch isnt out yet but if this is what it think it means i really hope it doesnt get past the testing server....

I'm going to stop selling anything all together.



When I went merchant I've been traveling all over the galaxy buying things at cheap, and selling them chaper than on the bazaar but still enough to make a profit. Now with this nerf on a class that didn't NEED to be nerfed, it's taken all of my will away to want to provide that service because there is no rational self interest for me, to waste my time getting special items and only being able to charge 3k for them...that's rediculous.

Re read it, after about 3 reads I think that there are some vendors that have a 3k cap, and this will be fixed.


I do not think a 3k cap is coming.

There has been no Merchant nerf.


Something would actually have to work before it could be nerfed.

Lets look at the important words and phrases


Fixed - Vendor Max Sale Price - being the same as - bazaar.


Meaning there apparantly was a bug where vendors would not let you sale higher than 3000 and this has been fixed.

Hello,


today I was thinking about SOE's proposed vendor nerf. What the reason be for this? I think because vendors have been buggy and SLOW lately, why is this? Because of the servers.


Okay, the problem is the servers, why dont they upgrade the servers? Answer is economy! Okay, so money is the problem now but then again I am no economic but my estimate is that SOE has has around 200k customers, how much isn't that per month? I mean... of course they need to make up for the development time for the game, but still, how much does a server upgrade cost? How much does it cost to maintain them?


Instead of nerfing the vendors, would you be willing to pay 1US Dollar additional per month PURELY for server upgrades? This would just not affect vendors but big events including 100+ players?


What are your thoughts about this?

Is there no item-limit as well? I heard they changed it from 150 but to what? I mean, I make armors and a full suit of armor is alot ofitems just that! and key to have business is among other things always to be wellstocked.

Use more than one vendor perhaps ?

so if they put the cap at 250 I need to get like 5 vendors instead of just 1?

Why not just have each additional vendor give additional item capacity separately? For instance, once I get the skill for a second vendor, I can have two with 150 items each or one with 300 items.

I mean, is this a no-brainer for anyone else or is it just me?

actually what they're doing is setting the item limit to your skill. Which one I"m not sure...nor do I know the ranges but it'll be signifigantly higher for masters than for novices
