Thread: Very simple solution which im sure people would prefer

First of all why does this nerf have to go into effect so suddenly and brutally? why not nerf non merchant's holding all the merchant perks first which would get rid of a LOT of the items sitting on thousands of vendors all over the respective galaxies.
And why take a big chunk of the game experience from the vast majority of players?
In rl...
a bussinessman can run a shopping complex with low costs and manage advertising/uniforms/staff training. They can potentially manage more stock also.
A humble convinience store shopkeeper guy can run his little store to his hearts content with no skill or training whasoever, he just has to get started and then its done, if he wants to expand he needs training/effort whatever.
In SWG...
People should be able to grind business 3/4 drop one vendor/terminal and put a limited amount of items on it...
Merchants, true to there name should be able to advertise, hold VAST amounts of stock, be able to manage large numbers of vendors
what should NOT happen...
take vendors away from non merchants alltogether, without compromise and then go and nerf the hell out of merchant ASWELL.
Leave merchant alone untill pub 10.3 or something, but fix the so called 'exploit' but allow anyone to grind bus 3, drop their crap (limited to say 110 items) and drop it again. No ads, no bigger selection of vendors to chose from, no uniforms and only one vendor.
This would probably piss off about 10 people accross all the galaxies as opposed to 462576582924596794782657257699 paying customers. Not good business
sorry if that sounded a bit ranty, but i feel such a compromise should be considered by soe instead of taking the drastic measures that have been proposed.
