Should Merchant be made into a 0 SP profession, everyone would benefit. No need to give up your current professions inorder to remaster merchant, while still being able to keep your venders and sell items.

Make xp the same as it was prior, and not let it be an instant mastery profession (basically just keep it as it is, but remove SP costs)

Caps on these venders (*if* put in) need to be raised drastically though. As it stands it will cripple 90% of all crafters business.

If SOE wants to free up room for their servers, delete old, cancled accounts. By this point there should be more than enough....

keep dreaming, all they need to change is the limit of items that can be listed on a vendor and I would be fine with the publish

---------
Ocur - Lightsaber Master / 4040 Defender / 3402 Enhancer / 4000 Healer
Jenkey - 12pt Master Tailor / Master Artisan / Master Merchant
Mafookey - Master Doctor / Master Combat Medic
Canuk - Master Ranger / Master Swordsman

Dont think they would ever allow that, mostly because EVERYONE will pick it up for storage.

How does this solve any problem other than the folks who don't want to play by the rules of spending skill points for their needed/desired professions?

It doesn't:

1) Solve the problem of people using their vendors to store items simply to get around the house limits
2) Solve the problem of people getting vendors and dropping the skills therefore exploiting a bug to get the perks of a profession w/o being that profession

All you've done is taken a class YOU see as worthless and decimated it. Personally, I think CM has wrecked PvP. Does that mean we should do away with CM? Nope, because that's only my opinion and I'm not so full of myself that I think everyone should follow my every suggestion. I prefer to think my suggestions thru to all impacted people and consider their desires when doing so.

Rather than play within the confines the devs have given us, 250 skill points that allow you to master 3.5 professions, you want to master 4+ professions with the same skill points. Now why didn't I think of asking the devs to dump all their rules simply so *I* could build the uber character I want to?

You cannot be everything in this game - you have to make hard choices about your character. Because you don't see any redeeming value in a particular class certainly doesn't mean we should dump the rules surrounding it so you can make your uber template.

I'll make the deal again - if you agree that I should be able to toss your uber poisons & diseases as a non-CM, and be every bit as effective as a master CM without spending a single skill point in CM and/or use headshot 3 with a heavy T21 to do 3k+ dmg per second w/o being even a novice Marksman, I'll back your desire to have Merchant become a zero-point profession.

I'll wait here for your answer...

How is using more storage for resources/armor/any thing else a problem?

Once again, not really a bug, it's like saying since you get to keep pets from being MCH in your datapad you have exploited the profession somehow.

Uhhh, I don't see merchant as worthless, and removing the SP requirement would far from decimate it. Merchant is a very handy profession, just not practical to have to keep if you want an all crafting/all pve/pvp template... I myself use venders, I sell krayt items on them, so this nerf WILL affect me, along with how many other people?

How does this hold relivence to removing the SP requirement?

Once again, merchant is a very useful and valuble profession. It doesn't just affect my template either, it affects any person who is a weaponsmith and armor smith, weaponsmith/armorsmith smuggler (so they can slice their stuff), or any other profession that has doubled up on skills.

This would cause massive imbalances on any PvP system (worse than it is now). Removing SP requirement on merchant would simply benefit everyone and create no imbalances.

I'll wait here for your answer...

That work?

Yes this is correct. It is a nice idea, but it would only make the databse problem worse, not better.

There are multiple things they could do to correct the database issue. As it stands they are fixing their databases by clearing some of this up, but inflating the economies at the same time.

0 SP professions are not the best idea since everyone would pick them up... However if they had a bunch of them such as pilot, merchant, politician ext and made it so you could only pick one then it might work.

My sig is of little use now due to the fact that I have quit.
