Ok, where did the post with our petition go to? Did the SOE Dev Gods decide they didn't want to hear our concerns and delete it? Or did they just decide we aren't worth listening to and delete it so they wouldn't have to deal with it or us?
What's the deal here?

It's been deleted. Which almost makes me as angry as the changes themselves.

Its called silencing dissention, much like the purges in the Stalin-Era of the Soviet Union

Dissidents were silenced in Tianenmen-China. Are communists running the show here?

This whole Merchant vendor stuff is just getting outta hand now. And seeing that the thread was deleted just confirms my suspicions of no-action being done. Let them go live with this, and when they see how many people cancel their accounts, maybe then they will figure it out.

Same here. This is a major change to put on Test Center with no word. A petition thread only shows how many people disagree with the change, yet its deleted. It really makes you wonder whether SOE has it's own agenda here and if they are going to put this through no matter what because it betters their database problem or something, despite its unrepairable damage it will have on the quality of game play, the servers' economies, and the virtual downsizing of the crafting professions. I'm worried.

Here's what I think SOE's agenda is...This game is a direct threat to their business in regards to their online games, including the new EQ2. So they need to encourage business by screwing over games that aren't completely their own projects. Look at Earth and Beyond...Great concept, great game, screwed over by nerfs, and now virtually dead. What happened? Gamers went back to EQ. I can see the same thing happening here...One game, maybe just a coincidence, but two? Plus is it really good business sense to really TRY to do a great job on a game that SOE has to share profits with LAthat is direct comptition to something that SOE completely runs? No, not at all. You want to do the better job on the product that is yours completely, and do your best to discredit the one that you don't. More profit in the long run. Does this explain some of the changes and the steady decline of quality of this game? Maybe. Conspiracy theory? Maybe, but we've seen stuff like this go down in the corporate world all the time.
Just my two cents...

A friend of mine pointed this out, what they are probably trying to do is make room for the number of new players they think they will get with JTL. But have they considered this, they screw the fighters and now the crafters and we all quit. By the time they finish JTL, no one will be left to play the game. It will be dead.
And they, Sony, must be on the edge of bankrupt or something or they'd just invest in better, bigger equipment. Instead, they chase off all of their loyal, exsisting customers for new ones.
Do they really think we will continue to play Sony games with them treating us like this? Seriously? As of now, I'm seriously rethinking ever, and I mean ever playing anything Sony puts out again. I'd say I can't believe they did this to the crafters but look at what they've done to the fighters. This is their habit and I doubt they will ever change.
And I HATED EQ! It was boring and boring and I hated it. Will I play EQ2? No. Will I continue to support Sony and believe they care about us? NEVER AGAIN
And I know I will get flamed but if EVERYONE didn't want to be a Jedi then maybe they'd worry less about them and more about us. I mean seriously, Just how many Jedi were there at one time? At this point in the game, there really shouldn't be but a handful of Jedi and all of them were in hiding. I understand you all want to be a Jedi and do the really cool stuff but you will be the only ones left here in about one month so how much fun can you have?
<sigh> At least the Jedi are happy, I guess.

Maybe they deleted it because they realized how unhappy their paying customers are, and will not make it go live? There are always 2 ways to look at things, lets not jump to conclusions just yet
