ECLECTIC EDGE & SYNISTAR SWAP MEET
ATTENTION ALL RADIANT SERVER MERCHANTS: Please post all your comments here to protest this ridiculous merchant nerf, Most of us are already discussing closing our shops and quitting the game because of this revamp...If SOE wants to keep customers playing SWGthen they need to leave the Merchant Profession alone or they will lose alot of us and perhaps will kill the SWG economy all together!!!!! SO PLEASE PROTEST THIS REVAMP OR MOST OF THE BEST STORES ON RADIANT WILL CLOSE OUR DOORS FOREVER!!!!

Cancelling one for sure if this goes live. As far as the other account I will have to check ebay to see what they are running now.
. I have not noticed this before butI was in a Gamestop yesterday and SWG is now at the bottom row in the PC games section at $29.99 seems it will not be long before this game will be in bargain bin.

To me, any limitation is unacceptable. I could care less about the size of their database because I pay a monthly fee for them to figure that stuff out. What they're doing is trying to "low ball" us to get a rise out of the players. Then the players will submit various counter-changes that include a higherLIMIT of items. I am not falling for this! My counter proposal is to keep the limits as they are.
I agree that the merchant bug that allows you to keep vendors even though you dropped the merchant profession should be fixed. But why mess up everything else? I played EQ for 2-1/2 years and saw the content do nothing but increase in size. You can have 8 alternate characters per server. And one patch doubled the size of the bank inventory and allowed a "shared" bank slot where a player can exchange items between their alts. Its the complete opposite in SWG. They produce a half broken publish in TC. Then push it to live with little done to it. Then... slowly chip away at the original publish's content (ie. storage space).
My reaction to this Merchant Nerf will be to master Merchant and then to drop it. I will still craft but I am probably going to sell my wares through auction spam and see who bites. It's an archaic way of selling but I did it in EQ. Also, I would be spending that much time keeping my vendors stocked and from disappearing from the map anyway. Not worth the trouble... But this may get old pretty quick. Then I'll decide whether to keep playing the game or not.

It's really that big ofa deal. You can't just drop crafting and selling items to go combat. Who's going to make your weapons and armor? I read posts that this nerf may be directed towards breaking up monopolies... But this indeed just creates monopolies. Many crafters and merchant have expressed that they may quit their profession or the game.A group of 4-5 weaponsmiths with alts will have to fill that void of a one stop shop. Thus continuing the monopoly in the form of a conglomerate.

If this goes through i am packing up my six accounts and going to another game run by a different company.....This is insane....it is already hard to find vendors that have more than 20 items on them....I love when i find a vendor that has page after page of merchandise....Just get rid of the fake vendors and leave the legitamite merchants alone....they work hard to keep their stores stocked with items we all need to play this game...Im done for now...more later ..
