If you look on these threads, 90% of everyone polled said if it's 3.2% of your goods/day (the current proposed value) they will quit using shops, vendors, and all that jazz, and either just hawk their stuff in Theed or Coronet, or just quit the game entirely.
Tailors, Architects, Weaponsmiths will all be hurt by this the most. Tailors and Weaponsmiths because of the massive number of products they have, Architects, because of the amount each deed HAS to go for. HAS TO. Why has to? because if you can get 3cr/unit selling resources on bazaar, and only 2.5cr/unit after working on a Fusion Generator for an hour, which will the sane person do?
Sony does not realize what this will do. Even if people continue to use vendors, the common game experience will be that the 2nd or 3rd person to visit the shop will find nothing on the vendor, or very little, because the 1st and 2nd person came in and bought all the good stuff right after the crafter carefully stocked the stupidly high maintenance vendor with one of each kind of product they can make, and logged for the night.
New rule after all vendors charge by the amount of inventory they have:
First person in gets the goods, all others get to be content with the leavings, or whatever is being sold on the bazaar.
Is this what Sony wants? Would the barren vendor landscape this proposed change would generate make this a dynamic exciting game, with a breadth and diversity of products, items, and cool things to buy?
I am convinced that the developers that make these stunnely idiotic decisions do not have a Master crafter title that they have earned, or if, by some miracle, some hardcore developer that actually went through grinding out barrels or whatever to get to Master while simulatenously generated money by developing a name for themselves by selling quality products on a public server, these rare, probably mythical, developers don't have an ounce of authority to announce changes, or disallow changes from being made.
With the proposed changes, it would be like this:
You are a owner of a Luxury car lot.
You pride yourself on stocking a very wide selection of all the luxury cars you can lay ahold of so that your customers will sing your praises far and wide.
You have managed to get 400 cars on your lot, each one running around 60,000 dollars average cost, for a total of 2,400,000 dollars total worth of stock.
Your salesman(Sony), who has been working for a flat fee per day, comes up to you one day and states that from now on, you will pay him 3.2% PER DAY of the sum total of the value of all the cars on your lot, which, in this example, would be 76,800 DOLLARS PER DAY. That's right, PER DAY!! In one month, the salesman would own every car on your lot.
If Sony treats its real employees like this, SIGN ME UP!!! In one month, I'll own the company.

90%? You must be a developer fanboi!!!! ![]()
Seriously -- I think 90% is an underestimation. It's more like 99%, if not 100%.
