Thread: Selective Admittance to Vendors

I'm not a merchant, but as a droid engineer I work closely with several. An interesting dilemma has come up with one: we want to have the vendors accessible ONLY to one specific guild.

I know how to restrict other guilds from accessing the vendors - put them on the Ban list of the building. No problem. But how do I put everyone on the Ban list, and then only put the one guild on the Entry list?

Thanks.

Like this...

Example: Pretend your guild is called Vendorama. Make a building private, or set a very high admission fee. Then add guild.Vendorama to the entry list. I think this works but it has been a while since I experimented with structure management.

I'd be glad if someone could cerify this for me.

Buildings with vendors can no longer be made private. Hence my problems

But you can use the access fee. Make it 500,000 credits to enter, then stick your guild on the entry list.

ya i have the same problem it is really really stupid that we have to do this however the devs in all there stupidity want to keep us from useing vendors for storage. that is why the houses have to be public to place a vendor but you can jsut price your items on you vendor way high to store it. They think they are solving problems with item counts getting to high by limiting the houses items but all that does is force artisan to place more houses and increase crowding. It is counter productive to do so. One thing that i think they do need to do though is have items that u can place on vendors and only allow a certain person to buy since 90% of my business is special order i hate having to want a hour for some customer to come get there order and the minute u place it on the vendor it never fails some one buys it.

private vendors are badly needed, had a guy make an alternate character just to come and buy others special orders off a vendor today.

When you can't always be on when the other person is, you have to have a way of getting the merchandise to them. You can't privatize your house anymore. You can't stick a huge price tag on it, person has to be able to buy it. So only choice is to put the items in a bag and pray no one else buys it before they can get to your shop.

This is stupid. Before they go jacking up vendor maintenance, they need to fix some fundamental issues like this.
