Thread: How I had envisioned vendor barking to be
When I first read about vendors spewing information - I had envisioned something like what was in UO - the Oracle.
Now, only volunteers setting up quests got to play with these - but they were very very neat. If you've ever played with neverwinter nights and programmed conversations with trigger words - it's much the same thing.
NPCs that tell a story and have branching dialog.
Not everyone would want or need this capability of course, but it would be SO nice to be able to educate my customers a bit on what I sell, how it works, etc. Being a bio/tailor - there is a ton of educating, and answering the same questions over and over and over.
Consider it writing an animated FAQ.
This would be something that could be given to merchants that don't hurt anyone else and is beneficial to all.
Anyone else see this functionality as something they'd use?
Now that would be ad barking made useful. Responses to specific key words could be programmed in and the vendor could field some of the more common questions customers have.
