and i'm wondering.. how do i gain skill? can someone point me to a wesite or tell me what gains merchant skill exaclty?

to get merchant xp you need to have vendors. There are some actual numbers out there on how much xp you get per day, per hour, per sale, etc etc. Just do a quick search on this forum. As you read some of the treads, you will find that we have a good idea around how we get xp and how much we should get, but we are not 100% sure. Many have gone days without any xp, others have seen a steady flow. I am under the assumption that the more vendors you have, the more xp you can get in a given day. If this can be confirmed true, I would recommend getting all 6 of your vendors first, then decide what branches you want to climb. I don't think there is a way to 'grind' merchant xp like there is for the other xp types.
