Thread: This terminal is malfunctioning
I submitted a ticket, but their response was it's a known issue and they are working on it. Any workarounds for this issue? Anyone else have the same trouble, only to see the problem fix itself? I'm not very optimistic about this
I have one that is malfunctioning as well... paid up for 20 days and nearly a hundred weapons on it.
Made and initialized today.
Same problem, I have like 10k of wind energy that I bought but now cannot touch.
I set a vendor, stocked it. Server patched, came back not working.
What I have noticed though, is I could repeat the error by doing the init first without paying the maint. But if I pay the maint then init the vendor I do not have any problems. Try this and see if you have the same results. I submitted a ticket but got the same response as above
I have five vendors up, all are working now. Still have stuck items though.
Wish I could use that wind energy...
My guild began setting up supply depots today. I placed the first building on Naboo outside Theed for this. I used /transferstructure to a guild member to maintain my number of lots for harvesting, as I am the main resource gatherer in my guild. My architect/merchant was re-added to the admin list. I created a new vendor after running to Theed and acquiring Management 2 to put Vendors to +4.
The vendor was created. It was initialized. It took maintenace funds. It took 10 items. Everything seemed to be working fine. I could view what was for sale on both the vendor and regionwide, which included items on my other 3 vendors.
I returned hours later with the inventories stuffed on my 3 characters to load more items onto the vendor. I received the following message:
This terminal is malfunctioning
The only part of the code that seems to work now is the radial menu lists all the options. I can view the vendor's status. It continues to apply mainteance charges, but...nobody can view any of the 3 screens. On my merchant I receive the above message rather than it loading. For my other 2 characters, it just loops the usual message window, failing to load.
So, with only 10 items at risk, I withdrew all remaining maintenance and will let the CSRs have fun with trying to use it. LOL
If anyone else has seen this, let me know if there's a workaround for it besides destroying it and all its contents. I can't see a point in risking further items by creating another vendor to go through this again.
I have had this happen to me many times.. The only options are to remove the vendor (which is only possible by taking it down and doing away with everything in it.. or waiting it out. I have tried both and in some cases the next vendor had the same problems, sometimes not.. in the cases where I just grumbled and waited they did come back to life after a few hours or after reset.
It's very frustrating but there isn't a whole lot you can do about it. I would submit a bug report though, by typing /bug you can fill outthe report so the developers know this is still a continuing problem.
Don't worry toomuch though the chances of your vendor never coming back to life are slim to none... like most of the annoying little bugs it's best to just wait for it to correct itself.
