I am fairly new to the merchant tree but I thought of something that would be pretty cool if it was available in the master merchant box.

Market research:

Basically you could place another terminal in your house. This terminal would track your sales. You could track what was was sold, for how much, to whom, and what date it was sold. I currently do this by hand but it is kind of a pain.

Would be kind of nice and would definitley add some flavor to the merchant prof. Also would make tracking what your customers are buying and when they are buying it more easily tracked. (so we can offer better service of course)

Well just my 2cents and if someone has already thought this up sorry if I jacked your idea.

Would be nice...though, as the above poster indicated, there are already third-party programs that can report on such statistics..

who knows, maybe when we get our merchant revamp in..oh...2010, they might include this

My personal favorite is swgmail.com. I track all my sales with this thing. It's not perfect, but it's my favorite 3rd party merchant helper.

And I really hope they don't do a merchant revamp. I'd pay my $15 per month for them to quit screwing up the game. Just sit back at SOE headquarters, have some beers, and leave the game alone please.
